Priority Redevelopment Projects

In collaboration with the St. Louis Development Corporation, Steadfast City assessed 16 sites throughout the City of St. Louis to determine their potential for redevelopment. Our assessment was conducted through the lens of the Economic Justice Action Plan with the goal to catalyze economic growth in the marginalized communities of St. Louis.

Steadfast City’s Planning Team gathered both quantitative and qualitative data to ensure a holistic approach for our research phase. This enabled our team to understand the complexities, challenges, and unique opportunities of each site along with the needs and concerns of the surrounding community. Data gathering and market analytics were conducted using software such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis and JobsEQ for economic analysis. Community outreach was achieved in partnership with ABNA Engineering who conducted community stakeholder interviews and on-site visits for each priority site.

Steadfast City used the findings to create an SLDC-branded research document presenting each site in the context of its redevelopment potential. Main components of each site include a background, nearby amenities map, population data, development incentive opportunities, and recommendations for future uses. The document acts as a guide for St. Louis City’s investment in these priority areas and as a tool to attract outside investment.
